Wyatt Earp once said...

"Get the hell out of Dodge!"  So we did, a few hours after we got into Dodge and checked out the Boot Hill Museum.  Dodge City Kansas, once home to old west legends like Wyatt and Bat Masterson, and lots of other nefarious characters, is now home to a whole bunch of construction crews building windmills and drilling for oil, hence not a single motel room to be found, so we rode another couple hours and are spending the night in Hutchinson Kansas.  Oh, and this is the first "new" state of the trip.  This is the first time Dan and Bike have ridden in Kansas.  Some pictures of the museum at Dodge City are below.

day miles 294, trip miles 2,732, odometer 35,557

Bank

Sarsaparilla Float for lunch.. Yum!

A fraction of the gun displays, some used by the famous characters.

Small jail.  Doubtfull Dan could even lay down in either cell.

Old west.. ummm.. implement?

One room school house, just like Kriss remembers :)

Blacksmith shop.

Recreated main street from old photos.

Cool old steam engine.
