We managed to get out of Iowa (lots of corn) and are into central Nebraska (more corn). Not much to say today so I think I'll fill you all in on some of the reasoning for this trips route. You ever see those maps on motor-homes that show all the states they've traveled in? Well, in the online motorcycle forums most people (at least in the forums Dan frequents) have a similar map in their signature. Well 3 years ago, as some of you may recall, Dan and Kriss did a circumnavigate the lower 48 state and parts of Canada road trip, and while we didn't manage to hit all the states around the edge, what appeared on the map was a glaring hole in the middle of the country. Said hole is what we are filling in on this trip, in addition to seeing some new to at least one of us sites in states we had already been in. The map is now as complete as it's going to get for this trip, Iowa being the last state added. This is something Dan started before starting to ride with Kriss, but believe it or not, there is only one state that is filled in that Dan and Bike have been to without Kriss! We'll drink a toast to the first one to guess what state it is. Below is the current map, and for historical purposes some older milestone year maps.
