Setting the stage for the next three days, and changing our planned route to avoid wildfires, we had a short slab trip today to Twin Falls Idaho. Found one brew pub in town on the interwebs, and picked our motel to provide a relatively easy walk to said pub, which we did fairly promptly upon checking in... only to have our hopes crushed by a little paper sign stuck to the door stating the brewery was now closed, appearing to be permanent with the Realtor for lease sign the appearing in our teary eyes (or was it sweat?).
Stopped at the overlook on the way into town to check out the Snake River gorge, once made famous by some evil person attempting to jump over it in something resembling a motorcycle, or a glider, or something. Anyway, really cool gorge with a cool looking golf course in the bottom of it surrounded by river. Be sure to click on all the pictures (especially this one) to get a larger version of them.
